Key Responsibilities1. Project Planning & SchedulingBaseline Scheduling: Develop, maintain, and update the project master schedule (Level 3/4) using Primavera P6 or MS Project, incorporating engineering, procurement, construction (EPC), and commissioning phases.Progress Tracking: Monitor daily/weekly site progress against the baseline, identify critical path deviations, and implement catch-up plans.Resource Loading: Plan manpower, material allocations (pipes, pumps, civil materials), and machinery schedules in coordination with the Project Manager.Reporting: Prepare comprehensive Monthly Progress Reports (MPRs), Earned Value Analysis (EVA), and look-ahead schedules for the client and corporate management.2. Environmental Engineering & ComplianceRegulatory Compliance: Ensure all sewerage network layouts and STP processes align with Angolan environmental laws (e.g., Ministério do Ambiente) and international guidelines (such as World Bank / IFC standards).Process Review: Assist in reviewing process designs, flow diagrams, hydraulic modeling, and technical specifications for the STP (e.g., Activated Sludge, SBR, or MBR technologies). EIA & Mitigation: Monitor the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) commitments, managing mitigation strategies for odor control, sludge disposal, and treated effluent discharge into local water bodies. Site Inspections: Conduct regular environmental audits on-site to handle wastewater discharge, construction spill prevention, and safe chemical storage.3. Stakeholder CoordinationClient & Consultant Interface: Coordinate directly with Angolan municipal authorities, governmental environmental bodies, and third-party consultants for permits and drawing approvals. Vendor & Subcontractor Management: Track delivery schedules of long-lead STP electromechanical equipment (aerators, clarifiers, dewatering units). Job Requirements & QualificationsEducation & ExperienceDegree: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Chemical Engineering. Experience: 5–10 years of experience in infrastructure projects, with at least 3 years specifically focused on Sewerage Networks and STP/WTP projects.Expat Experience: Prior experience working in Africa (specifically Angola or other Lusophone countries) or standard international EPC environments is highly advantageous.Technical & Soft SkillsSoftware: Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project is mandatory. Good working knowledge of AutoCAD and hydraulic design software (like SewerGEMS) is a plus. Languages: English fluency is required. Because the project is in Angola, conversational or professional proficiency in Portuguese is highly preferred to coordinate with local labor, authorities, and subcontractors.Core Competencies: Strong analytical skills for risk assessment, excellent communication for cross-functional coordination, and high resilience for on-site problem-solving.

Incident Investigation: Leading root-cause analysis (RCA) for any near-misses, spills, or injuries, and tracking corrective action close-outs.
Environmental Compliance: Monitoring waste management, spill prevention, and environmental footprint tracking in alignment with international mandates
