Core Senior Engineer

Core Network Design and Implementation:
* Understand the surrounding systems from HLR to MSC, GGSN, SGSN, SMSC, USSDG, IVR, etc.
* Collaborate with network architects and stakeholders to design and plan core network infrastructure.
* Implement and configure core network elements, including routers, switches, and core protocols (e.g., MPLS, BGP, OSPF, CAMEL, MAP, Diameters, SIP, etc).

Network Optimization and Performance:
* Monitor and analyze core network performance, identifying areas for improvement.
* Implement network optimization strategies to enhance capacity and efficiency.

Network Security:
* Ensure the security and integrity of core network elements by implementing robust security measures.
* Detect and mitigate network security threats and vulnerabilities.

Network Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
* Perform routine maintenance and updates to core network equipment and software.
* Troubleshoot and resolve network issues to minimize downtime and disruptions.

Capacity Planning:
* Monitor network traffic and plan for capacity upgrades as needed to meet growing demands.
* Recommend hardware and software upgrades to maintain optimal network performance.

Documentation and Reporting:
* Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of core network configurations, procedures, and best practices.
* Generate regular reports on core network performance and security for stakeholders.

Collaboration and Cross-functional Support:
* Work closely with cross-functional teams, including network operations, security, and support teams, to ensure seamless network operations.
* Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and team members.

Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.

Proven experience as a Core Telecommunication Engineer, with a minimum of 5 years in core network design and implementation.

Strong knowledge of core network technologies and protocols, including MPLS, BGP, OSPF, and IP routing.

Experience with core network equipment from leading vendors (e.g., Cisco, Juniper).

Familiarity with network security best practices and solutions.

CBIS/CBAM (Nokia background)

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCIE, Juniper JNCIE) are a plus
