Determine, promote and implement key government relations and external relations strategies
Determine, promote and implement key policies and programs in support of Africell's corporate goals and strategy
Make effective recommendations and relevant presentations on strategies and programs which are critical to Africell's success
Provide detailed strategic government and external relations advice and operational support to the whole company
Establish and maintain contacts at the highest level of the provincial government, other jurisdictions as required and external agencies, along with key senior staff at Africell
Be aware of and utilize key information, including confidential and forward-looking information on government policy, external agency directions and Africell perspectives
Determine government and external relations policies, strategies and programs
Increase external stakeholder satisfaction and enhance Africell's reputation across all external key influencers and stakeholders
Organize, maintain and manage contact lists
Search/generate new contacts and bridge partnerships
Provide reports and data for corporate purposes, as required.
Perform analysis and measure government and external relations performance data to ensure that associated activities are effective and targeted.
Manage project budgets and maximize the impact of each government and external relations dollar, including negotiating best rates from external service deliverers where applicable
Support other departments on specific projects and/or activity with the issuing of licenses and authorizations (e.g. roadshows, points of sale, magical bus, CCTV, brand registries. others)
Develop contacts with local companies and the administration to collect information on the requirements to implement branding initiatives (e.g. sculptures, advertising, sports)
Attend industry related events and represent Africell at public communications whenever necessary (presentations, introductions, interviews)
Develop programs with strategic partners that contributed to Africell reputation and market positioning.
Requisitos
Degree in Law, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Political & Social Science, Environment or Communications
Postgraduate degree is not required, but is of added benefit
Proven Experience in government relations, political office or the public service with a focus on external relations.
Experience in research and analysis on policies, decisions, corporate business plans and other current issues
Experience in the public communications field to understand the roles of various external agencies, pressure groups and political parties that influence Hydro One activities.
Experience working with and influencing executive-level individuals.
Excellent written and oral English and Portuguese competency;
