Our client is a leading integrated Waste Management service provider for the Oil & Gas industry in Angola with over 10 years track record servicing all the O&G Majors in the country, pioneering in the introduction of world-class proven technologies for waste treatment (e.g. reputable high temperature incineration, thermal desorption). Operates two integrated treatment and disposal facilities in the center and north of Angola and employs above 400 staff.

The Deputy General Manager will work alongside with the General Manager having the main responsibilities of managing and develop the business, implement controls and best practice for the business as a whole. This person will be involved in all levels of the organization namely Operations, Finance, Commercial, HR, QHSE, Administration and IT, etc..

Aptidões necessárias
  • Master's degree in Business, Management or related quantitative field - MBA is an asset;
  • Minimum of 10 years working experience, with minimum 5 years in management or in a leadership position;
  • International experience and exposure is an asset;
  • Understanding of at least one of the client company’s business areas (experience with waste management, Oil & Gas logistics);
  • Good technical understanding or background;
  • Experience within drilling (Rigs) and or production  (FPSO´s) and or services companies to the Oil & Gas drilling/productions activities;
  • Fundamental understanding of corporate finance KPIs and value drivers;
  • Excellent perspective and judgment; a balance of self-confidence and humility;
  • Self-starter (well organized, takes responsibility, demonstrates curiosity and initiative) and ability to get things done (execution mindset);
  • Leadership and Team player (managing others, participation in team problem solving, project team leadership);
  • Ability to synthesize findings and insights into board-ready recommendations and Presentations is a plus;
  • Excellent written and oral communication in English and Portuguese;
  • Availability to live in Luanda.
