Project Manager – Water Supply Systems
Education:
Bachelor's degree in engineering - Civil or Hidraulic
Professional Background (Water experience is na advantage):
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience and knowledge in the planning, engineering, execution, administration, construction, quality, safety, and commissioning of large scale projects in the water sector.
• Have worked as a Project Manager with experience in designing and building rural/ municipal water distribution networks, waste water collection, and drainage systems.
The job include the following responsibilities:
• Managing a team of engineers and supervise the construction of water supply infra-structures for villages (installation of showers, public fountains and laundries) in accordance with contractual specifications, ensuring quality and execution to time and budget, to the client’s approval.
• Coordination with engineering activities comprising water catchment, installation of water pipes, distribution networks (rural and urban) and water treatment plants.
• Daily and weekly coordination with Client and Contractors of all engineering, procurement and field activities.
• Daily and weekly planning of all local staff activities.
• Weekly and monthly follow-up of each contractor’s progress of work and preparation of related reports.
• Weekly meetings with Client and Contractors to ensure the progress of the execution of the works at the field and the good coordination between participants.
• Review and approval of contractors’ invoices and issuance of payment certificates.
• Follow-up of equipment purchasing and delivery and site tests.
• Inspection at the end of liability period and preparation of final take-over certificate and final completion report.
• Ability to provide training to the local communities on the operation and maintenance of water supply systems installed.
