HSE warehouse supervisor

JOB RESPONSIBLE:

1. Developing and implementing health and safety programs, policies, and procedures specific to the warehouse environment.
2. Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate control measures to mitigate risks.
3. Investigating incidents, accidents, and near misses, implementing corrective actions, and maintaining accurate records.
4. Ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and best practices related to waste management, pollution prevention, and other environmental aspects.
5. Providing health and safety training to employees, ensuring they understand their responsibilities, and communicating safety information effectively.
6. Conducting regular inspections of the warehouse facility, equipment, and processes to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance.
7. Developing and implementing emergency plans and procedures, conducting drills, and ensuring the availability of emergency equipment.
8. Working collaboratively with warehouse management, employees, and other stakeholders to promote a positive safety culture.
9. Keeping abreast of changes in health and safety legislation and industry best practices, and updating policies and procedures accordingly.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

1. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: To effectively identify and mitigate risks.
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: To effectively communicate with employees, management, and external stakeholders.
3. Familiarity with warehouse and distribution operations: To understand the specific hazards and risks associated with warehouse activities.
4. Knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation and regulations: To ensure compliance and implement effective safety measures.
5. Ability to work collaboratively and independently: To effectively manage the HSE function and contribute to a positive safety culture.
6. Very good communication (spoking and writing) in English.
